| Summary: | Esse trabalho tem por finalidade entender as construções imagéticas de Walt Disney nas animações The New Spirit, de 1942 e Out The Frying Pan Into The Firing Line, também de 1942. As elaborações imagéticas tinham um propósito principal: fomentar o chamado esforço de guerra nos cidadãos estadunidenses. A inserção dos Estados Unidos na Segunda Guerra Mundial teve por característica não apenas a disposição de inúmeros soldados aos fronts de batalha, mas também a produção imagética de diversas propagandas de guerra. A análise deste trabalho perpassa as análises das diversas frentes que o cinema de propaganda elencou nessas animações: a musicalidade, a construção do espectador combatente, a relação da comida com a política e a narrativa hiperbólica e imperativa de convencimento. |
| Abstract: | This work is intended to understand Walt Disney's imagery constructions in the 1942 animations The New Spirit and Out The Frying Pan Into The Firing Line, also in 1942. The imagery elaborations had one main purpose: to foment the so-called war effort in the citizens Americans. The insertion of the United States in World War II was characterized not only by the willingness of countless soldiers to the fronts of battle but also by the imagistic production of various war propaganda. The analysis of this work perpasses the analysis of the various fronts that the advertising cinema lists in these animations: musicality, the construction of the combatant spectator, the relationship of food with politics and hyperbolic narrative and imperative of convincing. |
