Conservação ambiental e uso sustentável do espaço: uma proposta para a proteção da mata ciliar do córrego dos barus com a criação de um parque urbano na cidade de Ituiutaba – MG

Abstract

The objective of this work is to contribute to new Urban Parks building, using a theoretical framework containing concepts, definitions and aspects that characterize a Urban Park. Due to a daily occupation, the lack of de leisure activities associated to interactions with green areas in Ituiutaba, the housing increase connected to the lack of arrangements and the exaggerated environmental degradation, it was determined that there is the need to create a Urban Park in the city that is being studied. The establishment of such structure is justified in providing social advantages, working as a leisure activity place outdoors, besides preserving the local environment, enhancing the thermal comfort, providing scientific studies, regarding both, the biodiversity from those places and the visitors awareness to conserve the nature and its balanced resources use. In this regard, the laws that make the parks creation possible are analyzed, being always related to the studied city organic law. This work purpose is to: I) show the importance of urban parks to the society; II) describe and evaluate the normative, institutional and administrative aspects that guide a urban park creation; III) list the advantages and limitations to the urban park creation; IV) suggest a Urban Park creation in the city of Ituiutaba- MG. This work was structured by a selected theoretical survey and a vast theoretical review. Visits and data collection were also realized in the studied local.
