| Title: | Um cowboy fora da lei: Raul Seixas, uma revolução molecular na música brasileira |

| Summary: | Este trabalho consiste em analisar a obra de arte musical do cantor brasileiro Raul Seixas, a partir da sua parceria com o escritor Paulo Coelho, durante os anos de 1973-1978. A partir da obra de Raul Seixas, são abordados pontos relevantes para historiografia da música brasileira, principalmente no que tange à questão da chamada linha evolutiva . A perspectiva deste trabalho é refletir sobre a trajetória musical do artista, em que o mesmo afirma não fazer parte de nenhum movimento político-partidário ou mesmo movimento cultural/musical, critério empregado sobremaneira por historiadores que o enquadram em algum nestes movimentos. Portanto, Raul Seixas, afirma não pertencer à linha evolutiva da música popular brasileira, ao mesmo tempo em que é possível colocá-lo em igualdade e dissidência em relação aos movimentos musicais como a Tropicália ou mesmo a MPB. Para tanto, faz-se necessário compreender sua arte como algo que não está presa a um contexto histórico específico, mas sim, para além dele, caracterizando sua atualidade na música nacional. Ademais, o critério de enquadramento da obra de Raul Seixas como contracultura é pensada neste trabalho como revolução molecular , em menção à análise de Félix Guattari. Desta forma, a partir do trabalho desenvolvido sobre a obra do cantor Raul Seixas, podemos perceber a sua importância estética para contribuição da história da música no Brasil. |
| Abstract: | This research is to analyze the musical art of the Brazilian singer Raul Seixas, since his collaboration with writer Paulo Coelho, during de years from 1973 to 1978. From the work of Raul Seixas, relevant points are approached to the historiography of Brazilian music, mainly regarding the issue of called \"evolutionary line . The perspective of this study is to think about musical career of the artist, in which he states is not part of any political party or even cultural / musical movement, criteria employed by historians that fall somewhere in these. Therefore, Raul Seixas, allege not belong to evolutionary line of popular Brazilian music, in the same time that is possible put him in equality and dissent regarding musical movements as Tropicália or even MPB. Therefore, it is necessary to understand his art as something that is not tied to a specific \"historical context\", but, beyond, featuring its relevance in national music. Furthermore, the criterion of framing the work of Raul as \"counterculture\" is conceived in this work as \"molecular revolution\" in reference to analysis of Félix Guattari. Thus, from the research made on the work of singer Raul Seixas, we realize the importance of its aesthetic contribution to the history of music in Brazil. |
