| Summary: | número de pesquisas que têm como objetivo avaliar o impacto de viagens, oriundas do deslocamento realizado por usuários, no trânsito do entorno de instituições de ensino superior no Brasil ainda é pequeno. Nesse sentido, o objetivo deste estudo foi estimar as taxas de geração de viagens para modos de transportes motorizado e não motorizado, que são utilizados por alunos, professores e servidores de Instituições de Ensino Superior (IES) privadas na cidade de Uberlândia, Minas Gerais. Para tanto, foi aplicado um questionário à comunidade universitária de quatro instituições de ensino superior da cidade. Foram estimadas taxas para as viagens atraídas e produzidas por alunos, para os modos de transporte: ônibus e van, automóvel, motocicleta, e a pé e por bicicleta, nos turnos da manhã, tarde e noite. O resultado da pesquisa indicou as seguintes taxas médias de atração: modo de transporte ônibus e van (0,522), automóvel (0,325), motocicleta (0,100), e a pé e bicicleta (0,057). Quanto às taxas médias de produção a pesquisa resultou nos valores: modo de transporte ônibus e van (0,507), automóvel (0,362), motocicleta (0,109), e a pé e por bicicleta (0,056). Para o modo de transporte a pé e bicicleta o erro padrão calculado foi muito elevado e, por isso, recomenda-se o uso das taxas com cautela até que novos estudos sejam realizados e os resultados sejam comparados. |
| Abstract: | The number of studies that assess the impact of travel, performed by users, in the traffic surrounding universities in Brazil is still small. Thus, the objective of this study was to estimate the trip generation rates for the motorized and non-motorized travel modes, which are used by students, teachers, and employees of private Universities of Uberlândia, Minas Gerais. For this purpose, a survey was applied to the university community of four universities of the city. Rates were estimated for the trips attracted and produced by students for transportation modes: bus and van, car, motorcycle, and on foot and by bicycle for the morning, afternoon and evening periods. The survey result indicated the following average attraction rates: transportation mode bus and van (0.522), automobile (0.325), motorcycle (0.100), and on foot and by bicycle (0.057). Regarding the average production rates the result was: transportation mode bus and van (0.507), automobile (0.362), motorcycle (0.109), and on foot and by bicycle (0.056). For the transportation mode on foot and by bicycle the calculated standard error was very high, then, it is recommend using the rates with caution until further studies are carried out and the results compared. |
