O presente trabalho busca refletir sobre como a narrativa Maus (2009), livro em quadrinhos de autoria de Art Spiegelman, se constitui como mediação da experiência do tempo, com objetivo de entender a relação entre narrativa, tempo e cultura numa dimensão histórica. Para isso, visa-se contextualizar a obra e analisar o modo de construção da narrativa e suas produções de sentido, frente aos dilemas do narrar. Por meio de uma perspectiva da cultura e da historicidade dos processos comunicacionais, a investigação partirá de um “olhar narrativizante” e um ponto de vista ético, dessa forma, será possível realizar uma análise narrativa, histórica e cultural mais aprofundada. A análise, portanto, é divida em quatro trechos que os dilemas do narrar se apresentam de modo explícito na obra, destacando os momentos mais autorreflexivos, de acordo com a elaboração da própria autora deste trabalho. Com essa investigação, é possível compreender que o ato de narrar configura a realidade cultural e temporal, e para lidar com o tempo em todas suas aporias e complexidades, narramos.
Abstract
The present work seeks to reflect on how the narrative Maus (2009), a comic book by Art Spiegelman, is constituted as a mediation of the experience of time, with the aim of understanding the relationship between narrative, time and culture in a historical dimension. For this, the aim is to contextualize the work and analyze the way in which the narrative is constructed and its production of meaning, in the face of the dilemmas of narrating. Through a perspective of culture and the historicity of communicational processes, the investigation will start from a “narrativizing perspective” and an ethical point of view, thus, it will be possible to carry out a more in-depth narrative, historical and cultural analysis. The analysis, therefore, is divided into four sections in which the dilemmas of narrating are explicitly presented in the work, highlighting the most self-reflective moments, according to the elaboration of the author of this work. With this investigation, it is possible to understand that the act of narrating configures the cultural and temporal reality, and to deal with time in all its aporias and complexities, we narrate.
