Abstract

This study, developed in the Graduate Program in Science and Mathematics Teaching at the Federal University of Uberlândia, aims to answer the question: ―What are the contributions of the Mathematics Club of the Federal University of Uberlândia to the learning of teaching by future Mathematics teachers?‖. The general objective is to understand, investigate and analyze the learning of teaching by future Mathematics teachers in the Mathematics Club of the Federal University of Uberlândia. In this space, we had the participation of ten future Mathematics teachers and, of these, four were selected as representatives for our analysis. The production of empirical material resulted from audio and video recordings of the meetings, portfolios and dialogues between the participants. The analysis of the material was organized into three episodes and five scenes, which highlight the contributions of the study, planning and development of actions in the Mathematics Club of UFU to the learning of teaching. These contributions were: the study of theories, the study of the logical-historical movement of the concept, moments of sharing experiences and reflections, collective and collaborative meetings, the development of proposals inspired by the Teaching Guidance Activity, overcoming challenges through collective action and contact with the classroom and students. Based on the movement of this research, a notebook was organized as an educational product with proposals developed in this learning space with the aim of assisting Mathematics teachers in their classes.
