Resumo
Introdução: Vivemos em uma época em que o consumo desenfreado gera um
padrão de geração de lixo insustentável! As questões relacionadas à
preservação do meio ambiente são alvo de uma preocupação generalizada no
mundo habitável, e cada vez mais a sociedade se organiza em busca de
alternativas que proporcionem melhor qualidade de vida à população. No
primeiro artigo, a relevância da pesquisa remete à importância de compreender
a implantação da coleta mecanizada do lixo domiciliar na cidade de Uberlândia
MG no contexto de inovação tecnológica relacionada à gestão do lixo. No
segundo artigo, discute-se a necessidade de entender os riscos e agravos à
saúde do coletor de lixo domiciliar. Objetivos: Compreender o processo de
implantação da coleta mecanizada do lixo domiciliar na cidade de
Uberlândia_MG através de notificações da Prefeitura Municipal de Uberlândia
(PMU) e do Departamento Municipal de Água e Esgoto (DMAE) até 2024, no
primeiro artigo; e, no segundo, analisar os riscos e agravos à saúde aos quais
estão submetidos os coletores de lixo domiciliar. Metodologia: O primeiro artigo
é uma pesquisa de revisão narrativa de literatura com objetivo exploratório-
descritivo e abordagem qualitativa, realizada a partir de levantamento, discussão
e análise documental de referências bibliográficas pertinentes à temática acerca
da coleta mecanizada de lixo por meio da implantação de contêineres. O
segundo artigo é uma revisão retrospectiva de literatura com base em materiais
já elaborados através de fontes secundárias. Resultados: Como essa
dissertação se refere a um trabalho equivalente, apresentamos dois artigos
como resultados. Sendo o primeiro, denominado “Compreendendo o processo
de implantação da coleta mecanizada de lixo domiciliar na cidade de Uberlândia
MG”; e o segundo, “Riscos e agravos à saúde dos coletores de lixo domiciliar:
Revisão bibliográfica”. Os dois artigos foram publicados na revista RECIMA21.
Abstract
Introduction: We live in a world where unbridled consumption generates an
unsustainable pattern of waste generation! Issues related to the preservation of the
environment are a constant concern in the world, and society is increasingly organizing
itself in search of alternatives that provide a better quality of life. In the first article, the
relevance of the research refers to the importance of understanding the implementation
of mechanized household waste collection in the city of Uberlândia MG in the context
of technological innovation in waste management. In the second article, there is a need
to understand the risks and health problems faced by household waste collectors.
Objectives: To understand the process of implementing mechanized household waste
collection in the city of Uberlândia - MG, through notifications from the Uberlândia City
Council (PMU) and Municipal Water and Sewage Department (DMAE) until 2024 in the
first article, and in the second to analyze the risks and health problems to which
household waste collectors are subjected. Methodology: The first article is a narrative
literature review, with an exploratory- descriptive objective and a qualitative approach,
based on a survey, discussion and documentary analysis of bibliographic references
pertinent to the theme of mechanized collection and the implementation of containers.
The second article is a retrospective literature review based on materials already
prepared, through secondary sources. Results: As this dissertation refers to equivalent
work, we present two articles as results. The first is “Understanding the process of
implementing mechanized household waste collection in the city of Uberlândia MG”
and the second is “Risks and health problems of household waste collectors: A literature
review”. The two articles were published in RECIMA21.
