é a transição energética.
Abstract
This dissertation aims to explore the possibility of a philosophy of energy that can interconnect
the various fields of knowledge concerned not only with the broader climate crisis but also,
specifically, with its contemporary variant, the energy transition. To do this, the reflection takes
place within the cybernetic framework proposed by the artistic and philosophical movement
originated in the 1990s which came to be known as accelerationism. In this sense, it seeks to
outline how the history of fire is the biography of intelligence, in which life on Earth would be
shaped by a process of global technoconvergence that comes from the Outside, in the form of
energy, and which seems to be rehearsing a return there. This investigation is initially illustrated
by a reflection on thermodynamic mythologies, followed by a brief historical narrative that
addresses the emergence of thermodynamics and its implications for contemporary philosophy,
followed by an entry into the philosophical field, in which Friedrich Nietzsche, Sigmund Freud,
and Georges Bataille are not only read as philosophers of energy but a theoretical continuity is
structured among them, culminating in the works of accelerationists Nick Land and Reza
Negarestani, a point where the hypothesis this dissertation seeks to consider should be verified.
