A associação
Abstract
Phosphorus (P) plays a crucial role in soybean development, but its availability is limited due to soil texture. Thus, it is necessary to apply phosphate fertilizers to meet this demand, however, the element is a non-renewable resource. The mycorrhizal association may be an alternative to improve P uptake by plants. Research indicates that the presence of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) can increase soybean productivity and the availability of P in the soil. The objective of this proposal was to investigate the production of photosynthetic pigments as a function of AMF presence to mitigate the effects of P stress in different soil textures in soybean.
The research was implemented in a randomized block design, in a 2x2x2 factorial scheme with four replications: the first factor FMA (presence and absence), as the second factor P (P-deficiency and P-control) and as the third factor, the texture of the soil (sandy-LAd and clayey-LVd). The AMF used was from the International Glomeromycota Culture Collection at the Regional University of Blumenau. During the research, plant height, photosynthetic pigments and the SPAD index in soybean leaves were evaluated. For the SPAD index there was no significant difference. For chlorophyll a, b and total, the sandy texture soil-LAd in the absence and presence of AMF increased the levels influenced the photosynthetic pigments. It was concluded from the research that the presence of AMF in different P-stresses for soil textures increased plant height, photosynthetic pigments in soybean leaf.
