Resumo
Nesta dissertação, discute-se a possibilidade de um significado, conteúdo ou efeito compartilhado em música, com base na concepção de Alain Daniélou – musicólogo francês e estudioso da cultura, história, filosofia e religião indiana – sobre os sons, seus poderes intrínsecos e a capacidade humana de interpretá-los por meio da análise dos efeitos psicofisiológicos. Essas concepções corroboram com a estruturação de sua Semântica musical, a qual será o ponto de partida de nossas discussões. O trabalho consiste em reflexões sobre as possibilidades lógicas de um efeito objetivo, ou compartilhado, e suas possíveis relações com os aspectos musicais, observando-se as estruturações e as atribuições de causa e efeito definidas por Daniélou, embora também sejam discutidas concepções de outros importantes autores do pensamento musical. Portanto, o trabalho constitui-se de uma leitura crítica de Semântica musical, de Alain Daniélou, e analisa – na construção dialógica com outras concepções – as possibilidades, concordâncias e discordâncias sobre o tema, além de refletir sobre suas possibilidades lógicas e suas possíveis implicações para o pensar e fazer musical.
Abstract
In this master’s dissertation, the possibility of meaning, content or shared effect in Music is discussed on the basis of Alain Daniélou’s view – a French musicologist and specialist in the field of Culture, History, Philosophy and Hindu religion – about sound, its intrinsic forces and the human capacity of interpreting it through the analysis of psycho-physiological effects. These views support the structure of his work named Musical Semantics, which will be the starting point of our discussions. The dissertation consists of considerations about the logical possibilities of an objective or shared effect and its possible relationships with musical aspects taking into account the structures and attributions of cause and effect determined by Daniélou, although views of other important authors on musical thought will be discussed. Thus, this investigation embodies a critical interpretation of Musical Semantics by Alain Daniélou and analyses – in a dialogical construction with other views – the possibilities, agreements and divergences on the subject as well as it reflects on his logical possibilities and possible implications for thinking and making music.
