Resumo
Esta leitura da poesia de Manoel de Barros tem como fio condutor os diversos modos com
que a memória se manifesta e se transforma em imagens poéticas, tomando como corpus
principal para o estudo o livro Poemas rupestres. Este foco parte de três vetores: em
primeiro lugar procura entender o papel da memória pessoal em sua relação com as
reminiscências da infância e os elementos da natureza; em segundo lugar aborda a
manifestação da memória que se revela através da referência a um patrimônio cultural e,
portanto, coletivo. Nesse aspecto, busca o caráter citacional da poesia manoelina que a
transforma em espaço de cruzamento de textos e imagens de outros autores e artistas,
principalmente os modernos. Esta reflexão, se apoia principalmente no conceito de
intertextualidade criado por Julia Kristeva. O terceiro vetor se volta para a memória
implícita na ocorrência de inúmeras autocitações que ligam os poemas entre si, deixando
ver sob cada texto poético a sombra de outro.
Abstract
This Manoel de Barros poetry reading aims to consider the different ways that memory is
manifested and becomes poetic images, taking as a main corpus to study the book Poemas
rupestres. This work focus on three aspects: first of all, it attempts to understand the role of
personal memory in its relationship with reminiscences of childhood and the elements of
nature; secondly, it discusses the memory manifestation revealed by the reference to a
cultural heritage and therefore collective. In this feature, this work searches the quotational
characteristic from Barros poetry that becomes into a space of intersectional texts and
images of other authors and artists, especially of the modern ones. This reflection is mainly
based on the concept of intertextuality created by Julia Kristeva. The third aspect is related
to the implicit memory in the occurrence of numerous self-citations linking the poems to
each other, where each poetic text is seen under the shadow of another.
