This work consists in the analysis of the American work “Gone With the Wind” (1936), worrying about showing how the literary (and cinematographic) aesthetics can influence the way of thinking scientifically about what was the American slavery system. The proposal was to bring the theme of the work of Margaret Mitchell for the present time and to make a connection with the current social problems caused by the preservation of slavery memory through symbols that at the same time depicting the history of the Southerners Americans, erase the history of the Negro as a victim of a society forged in the difference in the color of the skin – in racism.pt_BR
