Síncope do Eu: Personas Absurdas

Abstract

As an engine to a hybrid artistic creation in between poetics, this research tends to relate the self—representation interfaces and the philosophical thought. Here, pairs are presented to be analysed through a critical sight, whitch seeks to find in the mentioned artists, their meanings, their ways of thinking and looking at the world to create timeless and provocative art pieces. Through the optics of concept of Absurdism by Albert Camus, as a way of creating and looking at the worlds contradictions; and with Paul B. Preciado, this world seems to be sick and collapsing. All of those crossings return to the creation of different personas, trespassed by the artists analysed in here. As a radio that dictates the soundtrack of a roadtrip, my life’s, condensating the art and life of Rita Lee as the personification of na artist whose creations cross time and bodies, reaching homes, ears and souls of those who play her songs. Finding in me, and in the self-representative artists in here, an idea of Syncope. Approaching na identity fragmentation – or of the “self” – to a creation of personas that crosses the poetic courses and indicate the symptoms of that Syncope, culminating in artworks that expose cotemporary themes and philosophy in practice.
