Atuação dos gestores no cumprimento das normas de saúde e segurança no trabalho: uma análise da literatura

Abstract

This study analyzes the role of managers in complying with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards based on a review of Brazilian literature published between 2020 and 2025. The research, qualitative and bibliographic in nature, examined scientific articles available in the SciELO, Spell, and Google Scholar databases. The findings reveal that the most common managerial practices include the development of internal procedures, the promotion of training programs, the monitoring of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage, and the application of tools such as eSocial. The main challenges identified are financial constraints, employee resistance, lack of support from top management, and a fragile organizational safety culture. On the other hand, strategies such as the adoption of digital technologies, the creation of internal committees, and the strengthening of prevention-oriented practices were observed. It is concluded that, although progress has been made, the effectiveness of OHS management still faces cultural, financial, and technical barriers, highlighting the need for continuous investment in training, infrastructure, and innovation.
