dc.description.abstractThe objective of this course conclusion work is to apply the Arena software to simulate discrete events in the loading and unloading process of a food factory, but specifically in the reception of grains and delivery of the final product. To eliminate bottlenecks and simplify production, avoiding losses of goods, time, storage space and money. To achieve this, data was collected on the loading and unloading process and a simulation model was created that faithfully reproduces the characteristics of the real factory. Based on the analysis of the simulation results, recommendations for improvements were made, such as: reconfiguring the factory layout, adjusting the times for each step of the process, and implementing production planning strategies and some automations to reduce final time. The results obtained show that discrete event simulation combined with Arena software is a powerful tool for identifying bottlenecks in a logistics process and proposing solutions for optimization, resulting in benefits such as reduced waiting time, lower costs and improved quality of delivery and receipt, resulting in a better process.pt_BR

dc.description.resumoO objetivo deste trabalho de conclus˜ao de curso ´e aplicar o software Arena para simula¸c˜ao de eventos discretos em processo de carga e descarga de uma f´abrica de alimentos, mas especificamente no recebimento de gr˜aos e na entrega do produto final. A fim de eliminar gargalos e simplificar a produ¸c˜ao, evitando perdas de mercadorias, tempo, espa¸co de armazenamento e dinheiro. Para isso, foram coletados dados sobre o processo de carga e descarga e foi criado um modelo de simula¸c˜ao que reproduz fielmente as caracter´ısticas da f´abrica real. Com base na an´alise dos resultados da simula¸c˜ao, foram feitas recomenda¸c˜oes de melhorias, tais como: reconfigurar o layout da f´abrica, ajustar os tempos de cada etapa do processo e implementar estrat´egias de planejamento de produ¸c˜ao e algumas automa¸c˜oes a fim de reduzir o tempo final. Os resultados obtidos mostram que a simula¸c˜ao de eventos discretos combinada com o software Arena ´e uma ferramenta poderosa para identificar gargalos em um processo de log´ıstica e propor solu¸c˜oes para otimiza¸c˜ao, resultando em benef´ıcios como redu¸c˜ao do tempo de espera, menores custos e melhoria da qualidade de entrega e recebimento, resultando em um melhor processo.pt_BR
