Abstract

This paper examines the relevance of artistic languages in understanding social reality and their growing role in the field of International Relations, specifically delving into the "aesthetic turn", a theoretical approach that values artistic and cultural representations, such as cinema, in analyzing international issues. The series "WandaVision", produced by the Marvel Cinematic Universe of Marvel Studios, is used as a case study to explore the reaffirmation of the "American Way of Life", a cultural and ideological ideal deeply rooted in American identity. The article argues that "WandaVision" not only reflects and strengthens this ideal, but also highlights the cultural and social impact of the "American lifestyle" on the global stage. The analysis of such representations in popular culture is essential to understand the influence of the cultural industry in shaping ideologies and in constructing collective identities.
