Participação da mulher na política no município de Ituiutaba - MG

Abstract

The theme of this research was: "The participation of women in the policy of Ituiutaba-MG". Whose general objective was to identify the political trajectory of councilwomen and ex-councilwomen in the municipality of Ituiutaba. The specific objectives were to outline the profile of the councilwomen, to know the perception of councilwomen and ex-councilwomen in relation to female actions within the policy, to understand how was the entry of these women in politics and to understand the role In the current policy. Therefore, it counted on the participation of 10 councilwomen who have acted or are acting in the office, two of whom have passed away. The methods used for conducting the research were exploratory, bibliographic, documental and field studies. Assuming that even having acquired the rights to vote and the participation of women in politics, the patriarchal society that we live in considers the woman incapable of exercising politics. The data were collected at the Municipal Council of Ituiutaba-MG and analyzed qualitatively, confirming the assumption.
