dc.description.resumoThis study intended to characterize the insect fauna at soil level depending on seasonality and biomass in a particular sampled vereda nearly Uberlândia, MG. The insects were catched by pitfall trap. After selection and organization of data the individuals were weighed to obtain its biomass (gram of dry weight). The Hymenoptera order was the most numerous, followed by Coleoptera, what suggests that factors as sociality and seazonal variation can justify the abundance founs in this orders. The Orthoptera order presented the greatest biomass. The variation in the rates of biomass can be due to substitution os species along the year or so by the type of species sampled. Climatic factors were the mainly responsible for a increase at number of insects during the rainy season. The variation observed between the dry season and rainy season can be a behavioral answer for exploration os resources of superface or an answer the humidity available.pt_BR
