dc.description.abstract	The following work has the main goal of re-building relationship between childhood and family, stated in the news business discourse in the city of Uberlândia, MG in 1937-1945. In order to accomplish this research, in the field of Education History throught the news agency, it was used three local news called: O Repórter, A Tribuna e Correio de Uberlândia. The news are known as a rich resource source which is possible to understand the relationship among the history scene, politic and educational Vargas Era in the New State within the control and censure happened in the government places. In the several moments of over praise to Vargas Era s exploit in the process of national politics, local, and national news' writers wrote about the nation family and the necessity of knowing about the childhood process. The indicated way of Brazilian State was clear throught out the legislation which was always published and renewed, describing government concepts around the family structure. Within the 1937 Constitution, the family was responsable for the education process in which several programs were discussed about the attention of the new agreement of the family and the childhood. If one side of the magna letter stated that the State should have the special caring to the family, the other side stated that the special interest should be caring to the physic, intelectual, and moral of the childhood. The news articles asked for reforms, behavior s changes, and the most important the compromising of the Braziliam family with the modernization of the nation. According to the written news' agency, the family who had the special protection from the State, should have the responsibility of producting super men for the new society, and then the family must provide education to the kids in order to build health and truly citizens. In conclusion the local news' agency was used as one more mecanism of the New State to evaluate, direct, and work as an educative mecanism for the family and Brazilian childhood.	eng

dc.description.resumo	O presente trabalho tem como objetivo principal reconstituir relações estabelecidas entre educação, infância e família, estabelecidas no discurso jornalístico na cidade mineira de Uberlândia, entre os anos de 1937 e 1945. Realiza-se uma pesquisa, no campo da história da educação, pela imprensa, de modo foi levantada a existência de três jornais locais, a saber, O Repórter, A Tribuna e Correio de Uberlândia. Os jornais se caracterizam como uma rica fonte de pesquisa, através da qual é possível compreender relações tecidas no cenário histórico, político e educacional varguista do Estado Novo, sob controle e censura realizada pelos órgãos governamentais. Nos vários momentos de enaltecimentos às proezas varguistas na condução da política nacional, articulistas locais e nacionais sublinharam os direcionamentos dados à família nacional e a necessidade de se ater sobre a formação da infância. A linha diretiva do Estado Brasileiro estava nítida a partir da legislação que constantemente era publicada e renovada, delineando concepções governamentais acerca da estruturação familiar. Com a Constituição de 1937, a família fora responsabilizada pela educação, vários conteúdos foram abordados ressaltando a atenção dispensada pelo novo regime à família e à infância. Se de um lado a carta magna tributava ao Estado cuidados especiais à família, de outro, evidenciava especial interesse em zelar pela formação física, intelectual e moral da infância. As matérias jornalísticas ressaltaram a necessidade de reformas, mudanças de comportamento e, essencialmente, comprometimento da família brasileira com a modernização da nação. A família que, segundo a imprensa escrita, estava sob a proteção especial do Estado, deveria assumir seu papel na formação de super homens para uma nova sociedade, assim, teria a obrigação de educar suas crianças, almejando formar cidadãos sãos e patriotas. Neste sentido, pode-se concluir que a imprensa local foi utilizada como mais um mecanismo estadonovista para intervir, direcionar e servir de mecanismo higiênicoeducativo sobre e para a família e infância brasileiras.	por
