Resumo
Estuda os discursos sobre o exercício da maternidade por mulheres em privação de liberdade
no sistema prisional brasileiro. Analisa discursos de autoras e autores que pesquisaram o tema,
bem como o discurso das próprias mulheres encarceradas e de outros atores institucionais, por
meio dos relatos de pesquisa desses autores. Elege, como material, oito artigos científicos
publicados em português, por revistas qualificadas da área de psicologia, relativos a
investigações conduzidas no território brasileiro e que incluíam entrevistas com mulheres que
passaram pela experiência da maternidade em estabelecimentos prisionais. O método utilizado
para tratamento e análise do material valeu-se dos conceitos básicos da análise institucional de
discurso, tal como proposta Guirado (2009), a saber: sujeito, instituição, análise e discurso.
Busca identificar, pela análise dos artigos, recorrências e particularidades que se destacassem,
de modo a organizar o material em categorias temáticas que privilegiassem o discurso das
mulheres e dialogassem com os autores. Emergem, assim, como elementos que se evidenciam
nesse estudo: a vivência de uma maternidade (de)limitada pelo contexto institucional do sistema
prisional, com suas regras e práticas específicas, a ligação que se desenvolve entre mãe e filho,
o destaque dado à separação obrigatória entre eles e o lugar de suspeição conferido à mulher
encarcerada no discurso dos profissionais da instituição. Conclui que a tarefa de analisar o
discurso dos diferentes atores institucionais permitiu o conhecimento de aspectos da
experiência da maternidade de mulheres em privação de liberdade no Brasil e que um possível
caminho na tentativa de solucionar as dificuldades encontradas passaria, necessariamente, pela
efetivação de direitos já legalmente previstos para a mulher encarcerada e para a criança.
Abstract
It studies the discourses on the exercise of motherhood by women in deprivation of liberty in
the Brazilian prison system. It analyzes the discourses of authors who have researched the
theme, as well as the discourse of incarcerated women themselves and other institutional actors,
through the research reports of these authors. It chooses, as material, eight scientific articles
published in Portuguese, by qualified journals in the field of psychology, related to
investigations conducted in the Brazilian territory and which included interviews with women
who went through the experience of motherhood in prisons. The method used for the treatment
and analysis of the material was based on the basic concepts of institutional discourse analysis,
as proposed by Guirado (2009), namely: subject, institution, analysis and discourse. It seeks to
identify, through the analysis of the articles, recurrences and particularities that stand out, in
order to organize the material into thematic categories that would privilege the discourse of
women and dialogue with the authors. Thus, the following elements emerge as elements that
stand out in this study: the experience of a maternity (de)limited by the institutional context of
the prison system, with its specific rules and practices; the bond that develops between mother
and child; the emphasis given to the mandatory separation between them, and the place of
suspicion given to incarcerated women in the discourse of the institution's professionals. It
concludes that the task of analyzing the discourse of the different institutional actors allowed
the knowledge of aspects of the experience of motherhood of women in deprivation of liberty
in Brazil and that a possible path in the attempt to solve the difficulties encountered would
necessarily pass through the realization of rights already legally provided for the incarcerated
woman and the child.
