Summary
Objetivo: Analisar o conhecimento da equipe de enfermagem acerca do manuseio do cateter venoso
central de diálise. Métodos: Foi realizado um estudo de revisão sistemática de literatura através de
periódicos disponíveis na base de dados do PubMed e da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde. A princípio foram
identificados 14 artigos acerca da temática apresentada, no período de 2009 a 2023, sendo selecionados
apenas 8 estudos após aplicação dos critérios de inclusão e exclusão, os quais foram agregados a este
trabalho. Resultados: Após a leitura e análise crítica dos artigos, foi possível discorrer sobre duas temáticas
centrais “O conhecimento dos profissionais de enfermagem sobre a manipulação do cateter de diálise” e as
“Estratégias para prevenção das complicações decorrentes do manuseio inadequado do cateter de diálise”.
Considerações finais: O conhecimento da equipe de enfermagem sobre a manutenção do cateter vascular
de diálise ainda é exíguo, e pode ser influenciado por diversos fatores, ressaltando a importância da equipe
de enfermagem na prevenção de agravos relacionados ao cateter vascular de diálise.
Abstract
Objective: To analyze the nursing team's knowledge about the handling of central venous dialysis catheters.
Methods: A systematic literature review was carried out using journals available in the PubMed database
and the Virtual Health Library. At first, 14 articles were identified on the theme presented, in the period from
2009 to 2023, with only 8 studies being selected after applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, which
were added to this work. Results: After reading and critically analyzing the articles, it was possible to
discuss two central themes “The knowledge of nursing professionals about handling the dialysis catheter”
and “Strategies for preventing complications resulting from improper handling of the dialysis catheter”. Final
considerations: The knowledge of the nursing team about the maintenance of the dialysis vascular catheter
is still limited, and can be influenced by several factors, emphasizing the importance of the nursing team in
the prevention of injuries related to the dialysis vascular catheter.
