| dc.description.abstract | Tissue culture is an important tool in the propagation and research of plants with medicinal characteristics, as it allows the control of abiotic factors that directly influence plant growth. Among these factors, light quality, irradiance, and photoperiod play a determining role in physiological and morphogenic processes. Therefore, the use of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) has gained prominence due to its ability to allow precise control of the light spectrum and its energy efficiency, favoring the optimization of cultivation conditions in controlled environments. In this context, the present study aimed to evaluate the effects of different LED light colors on the biometry of parsley (Petroselinum crispum) cultivated in vitro. The experiment was conducted in the Biotechnology Laboratory of the Institute of Agricultural Sciences at the Federal University of Uberlândia. Parsley seeds from Topseed® were used, and the experimental design was a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with 3 treatments: blue LED, white LED, and red LED, with 33 replicates. The evaluated characteristics were number of leaves, SPAD index, shoot and root length, fresh mass, and dry mass. The SISVAR statistical software was used, and analysis of variance and Tukey's test were performed. Among the treatments evaluated, blue and white LEDs showed better performance in characteristics such as number of leaves and dry mass; red light, on the other hand, resulted in lower values in these variables. Furthermore, the SPAD index, root growth, and fresh mass assessments did not show significant differences between treatments. | pt_BR |

| pt_BR |
