Resumo
O presente artigo aborda o surgimento das penas e suas modificações, identificando como tais aspectos influenciariam no crescente número de mulheres encarceradas entre os anos 2000 e 2014. Tem como objetivo apresentar a realidade do sistema prisional brasileiro, traçando o perfil das mulheres encarceradas nos sistemas prisionais de Uberlândia e estabelecendo as possíveis relações com o perfil das detentas brasileiras, ilustrando os dados através de gráficos, bem como realizando interpretações dos dados obtidos através de leituras críticas de autores que trabalham o sistema carcerário no Brasil e em especial a questão do gênero nas prisões brasileiras. Utilizou das Regras de Bangkok, Lei de execuções penais e outros tratados para compreender a situação das mulheres nas prisões e como o Estado tem lidado com a “guerra as drogas”. Somando a estes aspectos, o artigo apresenta alternativas para que tanto a sociedade, Estado e o município possam ofertar as mulheres egressas do sistema prisional oportunidades de emprego e renda, buscando alternativas as prisões.
Abstract
This article adresses the emergence of penalties and their modifications, identifying hou suche aspects would influence the growing number of women incarcerated between the years 2000 and 2014. It aims to present the reality of the Brazilian prison system, tracing the profile of women incarcerated in prison systems of Uberlândia and establishing the possible relations whit the profile of Brazilian inmates, illustrantig the data through graphs, as well as pergoming interpretations of the data obtained through critical readings by authors who work the prison system in Brazil and especially the issue of gender in prisons Brazilian companies. He used the Bangkok Roles, the Law on Penal Executions and other treaties to understand the situation of women in prisons and how the state has dealt with the “war on drugs. Adding to these aspects, the article presentes alternatives so that both Society, the State anda the municipaity can offer women egressed from the prison system job and income opportunities, seeking alternatives to prisons.
