Diferentes tipos e protocolos de esclerosantes vasculares no tratamento das má formações vasculares orais: revisão literária

Abstract

Vascular malformations and hemangiomas are benign lesions of blood vessels with higher prevalence in the head and neck region. Their etiology is linked to congenital anomalies, physical trauma, endocrine and inflammatory stimuli of unknown etiology. The lesions present on the face cause aesthetic alterations that become constant complaints from the patients during the waiting period for the lesion to involute, which can be long depending on the patient's response. In view of this, several treatment methods have been employed in an attempt to control growth and anticipate lesion regression, depending on its extent and location. Among the treatment options, sclerotherapy has been used with great success in small and localized lesions in aesthetic areas, in which the surgical procedure could generate anti-aesthetic scars. The aim of this paper is to review the literature and define protocols with different sclerosing agents and techniques for the treatment of oral vascular anomalies.
