Resumo
A presente investigação se insere na linha de Pesquisa em História e Historiografia da Educação do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia e tem por objeto de estudo a Alfabetização, objetivando contribuir com a produção de conhecimentos no âmbito da referida linha. Para tanto, se concentra na trajetória de vida da alfabetizadora Stela Carrijo, com ênfase em sua história, lugares de formação e carreira docente. Tal ênfase se justifica porque, embora suas contribuições para a história da alfabetização sejam perceptíveis no município de Uberlândia, ainda assim há escassez de pesquisas e registros que contribuam para compreender e socializar suas práticas. Como metodologia de pesquisa, apoia-se na abordagem da História Oral de Vida, buscando por narrativas de sujeitos que conviveram com a biografada, tendo por critério de seleção os seguintes requisitos: grau de parentesco (filha ou filho) da biografada; ter sido aluno ou aluna da mesma, na formação acadêmica; ter atuado como professora na instituição em que a biografada foi gestora; e, ainda, ter atuado como colega de trabalho na docência e na gestão educacional. Foram eleitas quatro colaboradoras. Paralelamente à pesquisa com a História Oral, realizou-se pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, cuja triangulação com as fontes orais e documentais subsidiou a tessitura da história de vida, de ser e se fazer cotidianamente alfabetizadora, da professora Stela Carrijo. As narrativas de todas as entrevistadas são unânimes ao ratificarem a importância dela como pessoa e de suas práticas para a alfabetização. A realização da pesquisa contribui não apenas para lhe fazer justiça, reconhecendo as suas contribuições, como também para mitigar gargalos e lacunas da historiografia da alfabetização de Uberlândia. Tais gargalos e lacunas ficaram evidenciados quando, ao realizar buscas por fontes e estudos que documentassem as práticas de alfabetização e a trajetória como educadora, juntamente com suas contribuições para o campo, nos deparamos com ma escassez de registros e referências bibliográficas que abordassem as atividades educativas de Stela no âmbito da educação e alfabetização em Uberlândia.
Abstract
The present research focuses on the study of Literacy and aims to contribute to the production of knowledge in the field of History and Historiography of Education. It specifically centers on the life trajectory of the literacy teacher Stela Carrijo, with an emphasis on her history, places of education, and teaching career. This emphasis is justified because, despite her contributions to the history of literacy being noticeable in the municipality of Uberlândia, there is still a scarcity of research and records that contribute to understanding and sharing her practices. As a research methodology, it relies on the approach of Life Oral History, seeking narratives from individuals who lived with the biographee. The selection criteria include the following: being a relative (daughter or son) of the biographee; having been a student of the biographee during academic training; having worked as a teacher in the institution where the biographee was a manager; and also having worked as a colleague in teaching and educational management. Four collaborators were selected. In parallel with the Oral History research, bibliographic and documentary research was conducted. The triangulation of oral and documentary sources supported the weaving of the life history, being and becoming, of teacher Stela Carrijo, as an everyday literacy teacher. The narratives of all interviewees unanimously affirm the importance of Stela Carrijo and her practices for literacy. The research not only contributes to doing justice by recognizing the contributions of the biographee but also helps address gaps and shortcomings in the historiography of literacy in Uberlândia. These gaps and shortcomings became evident when searching for sources and studies documenting literacy practices, the educational trajectory, and contributions to the field by Stela. The scarcity of records and bibliographic references addressing Stela's educational and literacy activities in Uberlândia became apparent.
