Resumo
Os imigrantes japoneses encontraram no Brasil um lugar para se fixar e constituir um lar, deixando para seus herdeiros a bagagem cultural da sua origem. Porém, nota-se que os descendentes estão perdendo o interesse em dar continuidade nos costumes e tradições de suas famílias. Com isso, este trabalho tem a intenção de propor um centro cultural na cidade de Presidente Prudente, localizada no interior de São Paulo, onde há uma grande colônia de imigrantes, a fim de oferecer para as pessoas e principalmente para os descendentes dos imigrantes, um estímulo em querer preservar práticas da sua cultura de origem.
Essa proposta busca resgatar e preservar costumes e tradições da cultura japonesa, uma vez que nota-se uma frustração dos imigrantes ao perceber que seus descendentes estão perdendo interesse em dar continuidade, além de estarem se miscigenando com outras culturas e perdendo sua essência. Por isso, a ideia é que o centro cultural seja um espaço onde possam ser realizadas atividades com o propósito de manter viva a memória dos imigrantes, além de dar a oportunidade para que as próximas gerações tenham contato com sua história.
Abstract
The japanese immigrants found in Brazil a place to settle down and constitute a home, leaving to their heirs the cultural baggage of their origin. However, it is noted that the descendants are losing interest in continuing the customs and traditions of their families. This work intends to propose a cultural center in the city of Presidente Prudente, located in the interior of São Paulo, where there is a large colony of immigrants, in order to offer to the people and mainly to the descendants of the immigrants a stimulate the desire to preserve practices of their culture of origin.
This proposal seeks to rescue and preserve the customs and traditions of japanese culture, since there is a frustration of the immigrants when realizing that their descendants are losing interest in giving continuity, besides being mixing with other cultures and losing their essence. Therefore, the idea is that the cultural center is a space where activities can be carried out with the purpose of keeping alive the memory of the immigrants, as well as giving the opportunity for the next generations to have contact with their history.
