O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar as políticas públicas preventivas da violência
doméstica contra as mulheres entendidas como ações educativas e culturais
que atuam na desconstrução dos mitos, das construções simbólicas, dos
estereótipos de gênero, que modificam os padrões sexistas, e propagam os
valores igualitários de gênero, implementadas na cidade de Uberlândia. Para
isso, o trabalho abordou a construção das desigualdades entre mulheres e
homens nas interações pessoais no âmbito doméstico, ancorado nas teorias de
gênero, sobretudo nos ensinamentos de Joan Scott, Heleieth Saffioti e Pierre
Bourdieu, bem como da filósofa Simone de Beauvoir, destacando o papel da
família na construção das identidades dos indivíduos, como um importante fator
que gera desigualdades de gênero e resulta na violência contra as mulheres. O
levantamento das referidas políticas públicas, realizado por meio de entrevistas
com as autoridades responsáveis pelo desenvolvimento e implementação das
políticas para mulheres no município, é apresentado de forma a ilustrar o
panorama da rede de proteção às mulheres na localidade, havendo descrição
das ações praticadas. Nesse contexto, as diversas ações políticas narradas
pelas autoridades são analisadas sob o viés preventivo, com o questionamento
se de fato atuam nas raízes da violência. A referida análise ainda é seguida da apresentação dos
números da violência doméstica contra as mulheres em Uberlândia,
disponibilizados pelos órgãos públicos da cidade.
Abstract
The aim of this study was evaluate preventive public policies of the domestic
violence against women understood as the educational and cultural actions that
act in the desconstruction of myths, symbolic construtions, gender stereotypes
that modify sexist patterns, and propagate egalitarian values of women and
man, implemented in the city of Uberlândia. For this, the work approached the
construction of inequalities between women and men in personal interactions in
the domestic sphere, based in gender theories, especially in studies of Joan
Scott, Heleieth Saffioti e Pierre Bourdieu, as well as the philosopher Simone de
Beauvoir, highlighting the role of the family in the construction of the identities of
individuals, as an important factor that generates gender inequalities and results
in violence against women.The survey of these public policies, carried out
through interviews with the authorities responsible for the development and
implementation of the policies for women in the county, was presented in order
to illustrate the panorama of the network of protection to the women in the
locality, with a description of the actions practiced. In this context, the various
political actions narrated by the authorities was analyzed under the preventive
bias, with the questioning whether they actually act at the roots of violence,
acting to deconstruct the sexist patterns. This analysis was followed by the
presentation of the numbers of domestic violence against women in Uberlândia,
made available by the city's public agencies.
