Microempreendedor individual: 10 setores predominantes na cidade de Uberlândia - MG

Abstract

The Individual Microentrepreneur (MEI) was created with the aim of facilitating the simplified and less bureaucratic formalization of self-employed workers with the aim of reducing their informality. Based on this, the present work has as general objective to identify the ten (10) predominant MEI sectors in the city of Uberlândia - MG in the year of 2016 comparing them with the predominant activities at the country level. The methodology used was bibliographic research and data collection through the Portal do Empreendedor (www.portaldoempreendedor.gov.br). It is concluded that the study contributed to demonstrate that the MEI system demonstrates an important role for the country and that the city of Uberlândia has activities that stand out in the formalization of the MEI that are different from the general data of the country and between the main activities of the city in In relation to the country, there were some discrepancies that occurred due to the economic and social particularities of the city, such as average per capita income above the national average and educational level above the national average.
