Resumo
Na política econômica atual, os Fundos de Investimento são ferramentas fundamentais,
constituindo-se como uma das opções de investimento para os investidores individuais e
institucionais. Essa modalidade de investimento tem despertado o interesse do Brasileiro, que
na hora e investir a tem os utilizado em substituição à tradicional caderneta de poupança. Este
estudo teve como objetivo principal analisar as variações do Saldo Mínimo e restrições de
resgate dos fundos de investimento em renda fixa. Para isso foi realizada uma análise
descritiva com uma abordagem quantitativa e documental, de uma amostra composta por
2.925 Fundos de Renda Fixa. Os resultados obtidos com base na análise descritiva mostraram
que as restrições de resgate apresentam significativa variação, por exemplo, com Lockup de 0
a mais de 1.000 dias; a maioria dos fundos optando por não estabelecer taxa de saída; o saldo
mínimo varia de menos de R$1,00 em alguns fundos, e mais de R$10 milhões em outros.
Abstract
In the current economic policy, the Investment Funds ate important tools, being one of the
investment options for both institutional and individual investors. This kind of investment has
been appreciated by Brazilian investors, since they have used this option instead of the
traditional savings account. The aim of this paper was to analyze the variations in the
Minimum Balance of Investment, as well as in the restrictions for redemption, in a sample
comprised of 2,925 Fixed Income Investment Funds. To do so, it was employed a descriptive
study with quantitative approach. The main results indicate that the redemption restrictions
presented a significant dispersion among the funds of the sample. For example, there are
Lockup values from 0 to 1,000 days; the majority of investment funds opt for the absence of
an exit fee; and the minimum balance of investment varies with low than R$1.00 in some
funds and more than R$10 million in other funds.
