Resumo
A presente Pesquisa teve como tema “A participação das mulheres na política de
Ituiutaba (MG) ”. O objetivo geral foi identificar a trajetória política das mulheres
vereadoras e ex-vereadoras no município de Ituiutaba. Os objetivos específicos
foram traçar o perfil das mulheres vereadoras, conhecer a percepção das mulheres
vereadoras e ex-vereadoras em relação a atuação feminina dentro da política,
entender como foi a entrada dessas mulheres na política e compreender o papel
feminino na política atual. Portanto contou com a participação de 10 mulheres
vereadoras que atuaram ou estão atuando no cargo, sendo que duas já faleceram.
Os métodos utilizados para realização da pesquisa foram, estudos de natureza
exploratória, bibliográfica, documental e de campo. Partindo do pressuposto que
mesmo tendo adquirido os direitos ao voto e a participação da mulher na política, a
sociedade patriarcal que vivemos considera a mulher incapaz de exercer política. Os
dados foram coletados na Câmara Municipal de Ituiutaba (MG) e analisados de
forma qualitativa, confirmando o pressuposto.
Abstract
The theme of this research was: "The participation of women in the policy of
Ituiutaba-MG". Whose general objective was to identify the political trajectory of
councilwomen and ex-councilwomen in the municipality of Ituiutaba. The specific
objectives were to outline the profile of the councilwomen, to know the perception of
councilwomen and ex-councilwomen in relation to female actions within the policy, to
understand how was the entry of these women in politics and to understand the role
In the current policy. Therefore, it counted on the participation of 10 councilwomen
who have acted or are acting in the office, two of whom have passed away. The
methods used for conducting the research were exploratory, bibliographic,
documental and field studies. Assuming that even having acquired the rights to vote
and the participation of women in politics, the patriarchal society that we live in
considers the woman incapable of exercising politics. The data were collected at the
Municipal Council of Ituiutaba-MG and analyzed qualitatively, confirming the
assumption.
