Memórias de uma Alfabetizadora Humanizadora

Title: Memórias de uma Alfabetizadora Humanizadora
Abstract: This memorial was prepared as part of the academic performance evaluation process for promotion to the rank of Full Professor in the Basic, Technical, and Technological Education Teaching Career (EBTT) at the School of Basic Education of the Federal University of Uberlândia (CAp Eseba/UFU), in accordance with the general guidelines and criteria established by Law No. 12,772 of 2012, Resolution No. 03/2017 of the Board of Directors of the Federal University of Uberlândia (CONDIR/UFU), and Ordinance No. 982 of the Ministry of Education, issued in October 2013. The memorial is organized into three interconnected parts that present singular and significant experiences lived in the field of Education, which have shaped me as a teacher. The presentation and analysis of the content are situated within the field of teacher education and encompass aspects of my personal, academic, and professional trajectory from childhood to the present moment, in which I serve as a faculty member at the University of Uberlândia’s Laboratory School. Although aware that I am in a continuous process of formation and transformation, I present the experiences lived throughout my history that have been decisive in my development as a humanizing teacher-researcher in the field of literacy, while recognizing that I still have much to learn

Educação com afeto: memórias de um eterno aprendiz

Title: Educação com afeto: memórias de um eterno aprendiz
Abstract: I completed my undergraduate degrees (Licenciatura and Bacharelado) in History at the Federal University of Uberlândia (Universidade Federal de Uberlândia - UFU) in 2003. In the same year, I stepped into a school for the first time to work as a teacher. I have, therefore, been teaching for 22 years, instructing children, adolescents, adults, and also the elderly. I have worked in Elementary and High Schools, colleges, and in the EJA (Youth and Adult Education) modality. Initially, I taught in private schools, before dedicating myself fully to public education, including schools in the city center, peripheral areas, and even the rural zone. With this multiplicity of experiences, I began my role as a faculty member at the Colégio de Aplicação Escola de Educação Básica (Application School of Basic Education - CAp Eseba) of the Federal University of Uberlândia in 2010, performing activities in teaching, research, outreach (extension), and management, always believing in continuing education as a condition sine qua non in the face of society's increasingly rapid changes. In this Memorial, prepared for the academic performance evaluation process for access to the Full Professor (Titular) class of the Basic, Technical, and Technological Education Teaching Career (EBTT), I present my professional trajectory in Education at CAp Eseba/UFU, a privileged space for action and continuous transformation as a professional in the challenging process of teaching and learning. Following these paths, I was inspired by various educators, either through personal interaction or through books. Among them is Paulo Freire, from whom I learned a great deal, especially about the value of amorousness (amorosidade), one of the central concepts of his pedagogical praxis, permeated throughout his work as a driving force for a truly transformative education.

Cartografias da vida: memórias, experiências e novos caminhos: memorial descritivo para promoção à classe de professor titular

Title: Cartografias da vida: memórias, experiências e novos caminhos: memorial descritivo para promoção à classe de professor titular
Abstract: There are words that draw our memory, and others that give it new meanings.
This memoir arises from the act of revisiting experiences and interpreting the teaching
career as a continuous formative process. Prepared as a requirement for promotion to
Class E – Full Professor in Basic, Technical and Technological Education (EBTT) at the
Application College and Basic Education School of the Federal University of
Uberlândia (CAp ESEBA/UFU), it transcends the formal requirement by constituting
a reflection on the teaching of Geography and on the meaning of being a teacher.
The text organizes memories and experiences that highlight the complexity of
teaching, articulating affective, intellectual, and professional dimensions. It is based
on theoretical contributions that understand teaching as a practice traversed by
multiple relationships—with the knowledge, the world, and others—and engages
with perspectives from Geography in the contemporary context of education.
More than a mere account, this memoir is an intentional pause to examine one's
journey in depth. In narrating professional memories, it reveals origins, family history,
significant experiences, and accumulated learning. Inspired by José Saramago's
metaphor of the journey, it understands the teaching path as a continuous movement:
13
each experience allows one to see what was previously invisible, reflect on
transformations, and renew commitments to education.
The text begins with a brief personal introduction, revisiting my rural origins,
basic education, and the path through undergraduate and graduate studies,
culminating in a critical analysis of my teaching practice at ESEBA/UFU. It highlights
that being a teacher is a constant process of construction, renewing oneself with each
challenge and learning experience, in a trajectory always open to new meanings and
possibilities.
From the first lesson taught, marked by the insecurity and enchantment of
someone embarking on a teaching career, to the most recent journey at ESEBA, the
movement of learning from others, revisiting practices, retracing paths, and
recognizing, in each moment, the transformative power of education persists. To be a
teacher is to continue traveling between memories and the challenges of the present,
with the curious gaze of someone who is enchanted by the act of teaching and learning.
It is to understand that teaching is done in the journey: between the past that shapes
us and the future that is projected in each gesture, word, and (re)encounter.
