Title: Desigualdades sociais nos indicadores de saúde bucal em adolescentes brasileiros: dados da Pesquisa Nacional de Saúde do Escolar, 2019
Abstract: ABSTRACT

Social inequalities represent a crucial determinant for the health of the population, being reflected of form significant us indicators of health oral between teenagers Brazilians. The aim of the study was to evaluate the influence of social inequalities on oral health indicators of Brazilian adolescents aged 13 to 17. This cross-sectional study used data from the Brazilian National from the Health of School (PeNSE) of 2019, carried out with teenagers of public and private schools in Brazil. The inequality stratifiers were the influence of maternal education, and its intersection in relation to gender, race/color, administrative dependency of the school and area of residence, on the oral health indicators present in this report with to the following questions: 1) frequency of number of brushings daily, 2 ) presence of toothaches in the last six months and 3) number of visits performed at the dental office in the last twelve months. Initially, the prevalence of the three indicators was described, according to you stratifiers of inequality. Later, they were estimated measures complex of inequality as the index angular of inequity (SII) and the index of concentration (CIX). THE SII stands for the difference absolute of the values predicted to one indicator of health between you less and more advantaged groups, while the CIX assesses the relative difference between them. The different educational levels were used to calculate the total SII and CIX. Subsequently, the SII and CIX data for educational level were stratified by sex and skin color. Statistical analyses were performed using STATA/SE® 17 software. Adolescents whose mothers had a lower level of education presented minor prevalence of brushing daily with adequate frequency and bigger report of pain dental, especially between you self-declared blacks, yellow, indigenous and rural residents. Children of less educated mothers reported greater access to oral health actions promoted in schools. Thus, the importance of developing research aimed at this age group and developing intersectoral programs that favor oral health indicators that promote an increase in the quality of life and self-esteem of adolescents was confirmed.

Abstract: Although the issue of transgender identity has gained increasing prominence in debates on
health and human rights, transgender people still face significant obstacles in healthcare
services, often linked to the lack of preparedness among healthcare professionals. Given this
reality, the study presented in this dissertation aimed to: (i) analyze the barriers and facilitators
that affect access to and the quality of healthcare for transgender individuals; (ii) identify the
challenges faced by physicians and other healthcare professionals in dealing with transgender
patients, as well as suggest care practices that value diversity; and (iii) discuss the role of family
support and parenting in the health and well-being of transgender individuals. A narrative
literature review was conducted through searches on Google Scholar and SciELO between
March and November 2023, focusing on publications from 2010 to 2023 in Portuguese, English,
and Spanish, centered on the study's theme. The findings highlighted the lack of preparedness
among many healthcare professionals regarding gender diversity, evidenced, for instance, by
the inappropriate use of pronouns and the absence of inclusive protocols. Additionally,
financial, bureaucratic, and structural barriers further hinder transgender individuals from
accessing medical care. The research reinforces the importance of continuous training programs
that promote empathy and the humanization of care. Furthermore, family support proved to be
an essential factor for the emotional well-being of this population, reducing stigmas and
strengthening adherence to healthcare services. It was concluded that efforts are necessary to
better prepare healthcare professionals to provide appropriate care for transgender individuals
and to equip families to serve as a real support network for this population. Finally, a technical
technological product was developed to raise awareness among physicians and healthcare
professionals in general about transgender identities and healthcare for transgender individuals.

Doença de chagas cardíaca crônica na atenção primária à saúde: entraves e possibilidades de intervenção

Title: Doença de chagas cardíaca crônica na atenção primária à saúde: entraves e possibilidades de intervenção
Abstract: Chagas disease, caused by the protozoan Trypanosoma cruzi, is an infectious disease that can occur in acute or chronic forms. Its transmission occurs in different ways and around 30% of patients affected by chronic Chagas disease progress to the cardiac form. Brazil represents an important endemic area for this disease in the world. The Ministry of Health included chronic Chagas disease on the National Compulsory Notification List in 2020, characterizing the importance of surveillance actions. In this sense, PHC is configured as the point in the health network capable of promoting longitudinal and timely care, being the ideal space to expand epidemiological investigation actions and effective case management. Standardizing a flow of care is necessary for comprehensive patient monitoring. This is a non- randomized intervention study with the objective of evaluating the profile of a group of people affected by Chagas disease in a chronic state. It is also part of the scope of this research to prepare a technical report containing the insights obtained and the flowchart for managing patients with chronic cardiac Chagas disease within the scope of Primary Care in the city of Patos de Minas-MG. For this purpose, 33 cases of the disease, obtained through a community search, were monitored in relation to notification, diagnosis, classification and management of cases. In the sample evaluated, a predominant percentage of women was obtained (19; 57.6%). Patients had a mean age of 68.9 years and a mean time of residence in rural areas of 22.42 ±
17.96 and in urban areas of 44.15 ± 17.66. Most of the cases evaluated were classified as low risk of death, according to the score of Rassi et al. (2007) (16; 66.6%) (and Rassi et al. (2006) (19; 86.4%) and classified in stage A of the disease (21; 77.8%). Only 16 (48.5%) individuals attended for blood collection for serological testing. There are major obstacles and challenges in the diagnosis and management of patients with chronic cardiac Chagas disease in PHC. The integration of health surveillance services with primary care, as well as raising awareness among the population through popular health education, can greatly improve surveillance and care for the population affected by the disease.

Jornal da jacy: tecnologia social para promoção de saúde e cidadania no sistema prisional.

Title: Jornal da jacy: tecnologia social para promoção de saúde e cidadania no sistema prisional.
Abstract: There are a series of laws and policies, such as the National Policy for Comprehensive Health Care for People Deprived of Liberty in the Prison System (PNAISP), which guarantee this population's right to health and access to the Unified Health System (SUS). However, the Brazilian prison system presents immense challenges in implementing actions to promote, prevent and reduce harm due to prejudices and the punitive logic prevalent in this context. In this unique territory, the Prison Primary Care Team “Beyond the Bars” developed Jornal da Jacy, a printed newspaper aimed at people deprived of their liberty. This is a social technology that aims, through access to information, to promote health and citizenship. The proposal considered specificities of the prison community, which is characterized by isolation and various restrictions. To achieve the proposed objective, an editorial team was created to define the agenda, survey events and issues relevant to publication and layout of the newspaper. The newspaper is distributed monthly with one copy per cell, among 1,900 people deprived of their liberty. The proposal is pioneering and innovative as it considers communication and access to information as part of the health production process. In a context of extreme vulnerability, such as prison, proposing strategies and using social technologies such as Jornal da Jacy, which implement the principles and guidelines of the SUS, guarantees a better quality of life and dignity for people who are deprived of their liberty
