Explorando a fatoração de polinômios do segundo grau com as mãos: um recurso tátil para a educação inclusiva

Title: Explorando a fatoração de polinômios do segundo grau com as mãos: um recurso tátil para a educação inclusiva
Abstract: This study aims to develop, analyze, and validate a tactile didactic tool for teaching the factorization of second-degree polynomials to students with visual impairments. The choice of theme stems from the identified scarcity of algebra-focused materials within Inclusive Education contexts, as observed by the author during his teaching internship. This experimental research involved the modeling and 3D printing of three versions of a manipulable artifact, following an iterative process of creation, internal testing, and validation with visually impaired participants. The analyses were based on the SAI model (Instrumental Activity Situations), highlighting the interactions between subject, object, and instrument throughout the process of instrumental genesis. The results showed that the material supports understanding of factorization through the spatial organization of the pieces and has potential to assist in solving quadratic equations. However, it has limitations, such as its restriction to polynomials with integer and factorable coefficients. It is concluded that the tool represents an accessible and promising alternative for teaching algebra in inclusive educational settings.

Um estudo sobre a otimização no beneficiamento de grãos

Title: Um estudo sobre a otimização no beneficiamento de grãos
Abstract: The main objective of this work is to study the optimization of seed processing through
linear programming. Throughout its development, concepts, definitions, and solution
methods are studied. The optimization aims to increase production efficiency, reduce
costs, and improve agricultural productivity, considering the relevance of the agricultural
sector in Brazil.
The study is divided into several stages, including a review of linear programming and
the SIMPLEX method, an explanation of the grain processing process—which involves
reception, pre-cleaning, drying, classification, and storage—and the presentation of a
mathematical modeling proposal to optimize the costs of this process. The model was
implemented in MATLAB and applied to a real scenario using data from a processing
plant in S˜ao Paulo. The goal was to calculate the lowest-cost solution within a 30-day
planning horizon, considering the processing capacity and storage limits.
The results of the study demonstrated that linear programming can be effective in cost
optimization in the agricultural sector, providing an optimized solution for minimizing
grain production costs.

Formação continuada de professores: um estudo a partir das competências

Title: Formação continuada de professores: um estudo a partir das competências
Abstract: This research, developed as part of a scientific initiation project funded by FAPEMIG, aims to analyze the proposals of continuing education courses for elementary school teachers offered by the municipal education network of Uberlândia in 2022. Based on a qualitative approach grounded in document analysis, 11 courses were examined and categorized according to the competencies outlined in the BNC – Teacher Education and the theories on competencies by Perrenoud and Zabala. The analysis, conducted through two analytical axes, revealed that competencies such as “knowledge” and “work and life project” are widely addressed, while “argumentation” and “self-awareness and self-care” appear less frequently, indicating gaps in teacher education. A focus on the organization and management of teaching was also observed, with less emphasis on educational research and innovation. This study contributes to the reflection on teacher professional development, highlighting the need to expand the integration of socio-emotional competencies and innovative methodologies in order to promote a more comprehensive training aligned with contemporary educational demands.
