Title: A técnica fingerpicking do guitarrista André Nieri: o que é e como desenvolvê-la
Abstract: This study aimed to investigate the fingerpicking technique of guitarist André Nieri, analyzing
its application as a resource for technical and expressive development on the electric guitar. To
this end, a literature review was conducted on the history and teaching of the guitar in Brazil,
as well as a discussion of the concepts of technique, pure technique, applied technique, and
fingerpicking. Subsequently, the research proceeded with the analysis of the Finger
Revolutioncourse, taught by the guitarist himself, which covers fundamental exercises through
to the practical application of the technique in musical phrases. The practical experience
consisted of the systematic execution of the exercises and phrases proposed in the course,
allowing observation of the gradual process of assimilation and development of the technique.

Abstract: This work aims to understand the effects of vocal classification on the trajectory of the
lyrical singing student and seeks to analyze, from the perspective of four students from
state universities in the Southeast region of Brazil, answers regarding the following
problem: what are the effects of vocal classification in the path of the lyrical singing
student? The work therefore sought to encourage opera singing students to share their
experiences on the topic. Considering the proposed objective, the qualitative approach
was found to be the most appropriate for the development of the research. To collect data,
semi-structured interviews were used, and carried out with students who voluntarily
agreed to participate in the research. In structural terms, this work was divided into two
parts, theoretical framework and empirical study. In the theoretical framework, the first
chapter sought to provide an overview of the importance of vocal classification in lyrical
singing from a historical perspective. The second chapter aimed at understanding vocal
typologies, that is, the main vocal classifications and subclassifications, what
characterizes each type of voice and their respective registers. In the empirical study, the
methodological framework is addressed, the analysis categories are elaborated and the
analysis of the interviews of the study participants is presented. The results obtained
indicate that the process of classifying a singer's voice, from the perspective of lyrical
singing students, is not simple. For students, the perception of the paths used by the
teacher is often abstract. In this context, a clearer and more flexible approach becomes
essential, which takes into account natural changes in voices, the understanding of
singers, and respect for the diversity of students.

A técnica vocal no pagode: um estudo de caso para o desenvolvimento estético vocal

Title: A técnica vocal no pagode: um estudo de caso para o desenvolvimento estético vocal
Abstract: This work aims to present the vocal aesthetic characteristics applied to the musical genre pagode, as well as to describe the processes of two case studies with two distinct volunteers, conducted to develop the sonority expected for the aforementioned genre. The study, developed over 15 months, is based on the scarcity of academic research on the topic and uses a methodology of periodized vocal exercises for technical development and for adapting the voice to the pagode aesthetic. Case studies were conducted with two male volunteers: one with informal musical experience (Volunteer A) and another with formal training and professional practice (Volunteer B). Through questionnaires, auditory assessments, and the application of vocalises from didactic methods and exercises created by the researcher, the work aimed to improve vocal projection, articulation, intonation, and vocal homogeneity. The results indicated significant improvement in the voices of both volunteers, with Volunteer A demonstrating advances in active voice production and the ability to perform techniques such as yodeling and falsetto, while Volunteer B corrected vocal breaks and increased projection. The conclusions indicate that the individualization of the exercise protocol was the most effective strategy, and that intonation, although improved, depends on the singer’s body awareness and musical background.

Title: Relato do processo interpretativo na execução de quatro canções do compositor José Amat (1818–1881): “Barcarolla”, “A Deus e a ti”, “Un Ange Envole” e “Addio”.
Abstract: This Course Conclusion Paper presents an experience report based on the study and performance of four songs by the composer José Amat: Barcarolla, A Deus e a ti, Un ange envole, and Addio. The choice of this repertoire was due to its suitability to the tessitura of my light lyric tenor voice and to the guidance of my singing teacher. The aim of the study was to understand how these works could contribute to my technical and interpretative development in classical singing, as well as to my academic training. Throughout this process, it was possible to improve aspects such as legato, breath control, vocal agility in fast passages, diction in French and Italian, and the interpretative construction of the pieces. The songs studied presented specific challenges that required the development of study strategies, together with exercises proposed by the teacher, which allowed for the gradual improvement of my performance. The study of these four songs contributed significantly to my vocal and interpretative development, fostering greater critical awareness of vocal practice.
