Title: A Produção de Sentido Das Religiões De Matriz Africana Na Mídia Televisiva: Identidade e Representação como dilemas no Direito De Resposta Na Rede Record
Abstract: This dissertation analyzes the production of meaning of identities and representations of Afro-Brazilian religions in television media, taking as subject four programs produced as a right of reply and aired by Rede Record of Television. The production of these programs resulted from a legal action motivated by the recurring presentation of religions in a distorted, prejudiced, and stereotypical manner. After years of legal proceedings, representatives of these religious traditions secured the right to produce programs intended to present alternative perspectives on their histories, practices, symbols, and forms of belonging. The research aims to understand how these programs enabled the representatives of African-based religions themselves to construct narratives about their experiences, explain their practices, and challenge the meanings produced by television. The analysis focuses on the content of the episodes and the statements made by priests, practitioners, researchers, and other participants.
The theoretical basis is anchored in Cultural Studies, particularly in the contributions of Stuart Hall and Raymond Williams, in dialogue with Jesús Martín-Barbero’s reflections on communication, culture, and mediations. The concepts of culture, identity, and representation are predominantly used. The results demonstrate that the programs constituted a space for the confrontation and negotiation of meanings, in which the subjects represented became protagonists in the construction of their own images. The right of reply is divided into four twenty-minute programs. Each of the programs treats a topic related to religiosity; they are titled: Justice, Brazil, Culture, and Behavior. The exhibition of these programs represented a historic achievement and an important precedent in the fight for recognition and representation on Brazilian television. However, the reduced number of episodes, their short duration, and their midnight broadcast times significantly limited their visibility, public reach, and potential for repair.

Abstract: This research analyzes news reports from Rede Globo and its affiliates, providing an overview of how television media has addressed the topic of education and technology within a timeframe of 2012 to 2024. Despite the robustness of the researched material, the reports
demonstrate Rede Globo's perspective. Technology in education is establishing itself as a valuable partner in the teaching-learning process, especially with the expansion of digital tools, teaching platforms, and multimedia resources. Reports on education are essential for informing and engaging society, as well as serving as a mechanism for monitoring and supporting the continuous improvement of the educational system. It also offers possibilities for guiding educational policies, highlighting that such policies are fundamental to the future of societies, promoting human and economic development through education. Public educational policies are essential to ensure the right to quality education, foster social equity, and reduce historical inequalities in access to knowledge. Furthermore, educational policies establish long-term goals, such as ensuring universal access to basic education, improving literacy rates, and strengthening vocational and technological education.

Abstract: This research focuses on media education for new generations, particularly Generation Alpha,
whose childhood and adolescence are deeply influenced by digital environments and platform
culture. Considering the risks associated with intensive media use such as digital anxiety,
cyberbullying, exposure to hate speech, and social vulnerabilities it becomes essential to
promote pedagogical strategies that strengthen critical, ethical, and civic formation. In this
context, the present dissertation proposes the development of an illustrated book, created with
the support of artificial intelligence and human, grounded in Spiritist doctrine and principles of
human rights education, with the aim of offering an innovative and interdisciplinary educational
resource. The study adopts a qualitative, exploratory approach, based on literature review and
documentary analysis, to examine the relationship between media, childhood, and spirituality,
as well as to identify pedagogical practices that contribute to conscious and responsible use of
digital platforms. The proposed book seeks to integrate ethical, moral, and spiritual values into
media education, in articulation with human rights education, to foster the development of
critical and reflective skills to address the challenges of the digital world. Thus, the proposal
not only aims to mitigate the negative effects of screen exposure but also to encourage the
construction of a culture of peace, dialogue, and solidarity, providing pedagogical alternatives
that value both technological literacy and the integral formation of the human being. By
combining media education, human rights, and spiritual values, this study contributes to the
development of innovative practices capable of guiding Generation Alpha toward a more
conscious, ethical, and socially responsible engagement with contemporary digital demands.
