Etymologically, therefore, surgery means manual work, art, craft, not which hands are used to perform it. Its use in medicine is therefore understood to designate therapeutic procedures that disable manual work: it is the branch of medicine that is dedicated to the treatment of diseases, injuries, or deformities, through manual processes referred to as operations or surgical surgeries. Therefore, surgery is science and, at the same time, art. As a science, it has its dynamic and constant renewal depending on its own evolution. As an art, it requires patient manual learning and good driving. Despite this, with the manifestation of the scientific method and the various studies on the human body, medical knowledge gained a content too vast to be completely mastered by a single individual. From this milestone, the division of Medicine into specialties began, followed by subspecialties. In this way, the proposed event aims to deepen the theoretical-practical knowledge of medical students, surgical residents and other health professionals who are interested in the area covered, regarding the topic, through lectures given by trained professionals from each subarea, and with space for questions.
