To this end, an integrative review of articles published in Scielo, CAPES journals, and Google Scholar was carried out. After applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 6 articles published in Brazilian journals between 2005 and 2024 were selected. The results show that positive representation in Afro-Brazilian children's literature contributes to building the self-esteem of black children and promoting a more equitable and inclusive society. However, challenges such as the resistance of some educators and the lack of specific training in the area were identified.
