Análise de desempenho de controladores em uma unidade experimental de tanques em série

Title: Análise de desempenho de controladores em uma unidade experimental de tanques em série
Abstract: The appropriate selection of control strategies is essential to ensure the stability, performance, and efficiency of industrial processes. Tank systems configured in series are widely used in sectors such as chemical, petrochemical, and water treatment, and require precise control techniques due to their dynamic characteristics and inter-stage coupling. In this context, this project proposes a performance analysis of conventional Proportional-Integral-Derivative Control and Model Predictive Control applied to the level control of the second tank in an experimental two-tank-in-series setup. The entire system was developed from scratch, including the physical structure, electronic design with printed circuit board, and a graphical interface for real-time monitoring. Additionally, the embedded implementations and all analyses were conducted on open-source platforms, with a particular focus on the programming languages Python and C++. The study aims to understand the advantages, limitations, and practical applications of each control method, exploring open-source tools to support decision-making in real-world industrial automation projects.

Title: Kit didático para a disciplina de Eletrônica Industrial e Acionamentos
Abstract: This project aims to address the lack of control devices for switching power transistors, such as MOSFETs and IGBTs, in the Industrial Electronics and Drives laboratories, used in DC-DC and DC-AC converters. Many configurations of these converters require isolated control circuits. The development of the educational kit will focus on meeting the specific applications of these converters, providing students with a comprehensive practical experience and improving the quality of practical learning in the discipline. This ensures that students gain a deep and applied understanding of switching and control techniques in electronic converters.

Análise das instalações do home assistant e desenvolvimento de automação residencial

Title: Análise das instalações do home assistant e desenvolvimento de automação residencial
Abstract: Home automation, also known as domotics, has become a major technological trend in
recent years. This phenomenon is driven by the pursuit of greater comfort, convenience,
and security in the management of home environments. The possibility offered by home
automation to control lights, sensors, smart plugs, and various other smart devices allows
users to perform remote commands that bring practicality and comfort to their daily
routines. In this context, the Home Assistant platform stands out by offering a highly
versatile and fully customizable home automation solution. This project developed a
study and compared three types of Home Assistant installations — virtual machine
installation, Raspberry Pi installation, and hardware installation — aiming to understand
their particularities, advantages, and limitations, making it possible to determine which
installation type is most suitable for each situation. In addition, the project implemented
a home automation system to explore different technologies used in domotics and their
integrations, with the development based on users’ needs and daily routines, thus creating
a personalized and useful project.
