It deals with the presentation of a didactic proposal for the elaboration of an interpretive trail with four observation points, using historical and current photographs to compare urbanization processes, environmental changes, and human interventions in the urban space over the decades. This proposal stemmed from an extension project carried out with a class of 6th-grade elementary school students, consisting of theoretical classes before and after a field trip to the park and a visit with the students to the park, with the main objective of teaching them to develop analyses of the transformations of the park's landscape and surroundings, especially in relation to the social and environmental changes observed in the spaces. The results show that field trips, mediated by the interpretive trail methodology, enhance the teaching-learning process by stimulating systematic observation, critical thinking, and a sense of belonging among students in relation to the lived space.
