Desenvolvimento de aplicativo de telemonitoramento para triagem e classificação de risco contínuo em pacientes com dengue

Title: Desenvolvimento de aplicativo de telemonitoramento para triagem e classificação de risco contínuo em pacientes com dengue
Abstract: Dengue represents a public health challenge in Brazil due to its endemic nature and the
significant increase in cases driven by climate change. Consequently, there is a high demand
for medical care, even though patients find themselves in different phases of the disease (febrile,
critical, or recovery). Therefore, it is fundamental to develop new strategies using telemedicine
to relieve the healthcare system. The objective of this study was to develop a mobile
telemonitoring application, named TeleDengue, focusing on initial screening, symptom
tracking, and informative modules. The methodology was based on requirements gathering
through forms applied to patients and medical professionals to identify the real needs of users,
in addition to relying on Design Thinking principles for system idealization. Development was
carried out using a low-code strategy, utilizing the FlutterFlow platform integrated with the
Firebase database for the secure storage of clinical information. As a result, the application was
structured into four main sections: symptom tracking, which issues alerts based on the severity
of the selected symptoms; dengue information, featuring self-care and disease protection
guidelines; care facilities in the city of Uberlândia, providing addresses and contact phone
numbers; and symptom history, which offers automated charts and reports of the disease's
progression to assist in future medical consultations. In conclusion, TeleDengue features
functional tools that can assist in dengue care, with the potential to optimize patient flow, reduce
the burden on healthcare units, and support patients in their recovery at home.

Title: Desenvolvimento de um sistema de rastreamento inercial em tempo real sem fio para membros superiores
Abstract: Quantitative analysis of human movement is an essential tool for clinical diagnosis, physical rehabilitation, and robotic interface control. However, commercial motion capture systems present portability restrictions and operational complexity that limit their widespread use. This work presents the development and validation of an accessible, portable, and robust motion tracking system based on a wireless inertial measurement unit (IMU) network, focused on high-fidelity kinematic reconstruction of upper limbs. The hardware platform uses ESP32 microcontrollers integrated with MPU9250 sensors, operating with a hybrid TCP/UDP communication protocol communicating with Python software, optimized to ensure data integrity and real-time transmission speed. For precise spatial orientation estimation, the Madgwick sensor fusion algorithm was implemented using quaternions. The metrological validation of the system was performed by comparing it to an industrial robotic manipulator (Dobot CR10A), adopted as the gold standard for positioning. The trials included static and dynamic angular sweep tests, as well as functional tests. The results demonstrated a high correlation between the proposed system and the robotic reference, proving the reliability of the measurements and the system's capability to reconstruct complex movements with precision and stability, validating its viability as a robust tool for biomechanical analysis.

Avaliação da atividade eletroencefalográfica e da ativação BOLD em paradigmas auditivos Oddball

Title: Avaliação da atividade eletroencefalográfica e da ativação BOLD em paradigmas auditivos Oddball
Abstract: This study investigates the relationship between neuronal activity observed via electro
encephalography (EEG) and brain region activations recorded using functional magnetic
resonance imaging (fMRI) data during the performance of an auditory oddball cognitive
paradigm. The objective was to analyze whether event-related potentials, particularly
the P300 component obtained via EEG, show a qualitative correspondence with the
hemodynamic activation patterns measured by the BOLD signal in fMRI. Public data
from the OpenfMRI repository (dataset ds000116) were used, comprising simultaneous
EEG and fMRI recordings from 15 participants. The EEG data were preprocessed using
the MNE-Python library, including digital filtering, removal of physiological artifacts via
Independent Component Analysis (ICA), and extraction of event-related potentials. The
P300 component was analyzed for amplitude, latency, and topographic distribution. The
fMRI data were preprocessed using the fMRIPrep pipeline and analyzed using statistical
modeling based on the General Linear Model (GLM) in FSL software, allowing for the
estimation of BOLD activation maps associated with the target and standard conditions.
The results showed the presence of the P300 component with maximum amplitude in
the centro-parietal regions of the scalp and a mean latency of approximately 386 ms. In
the fMRI data, significant activation was observed in the parietal, temporal, and frontal
lobes, as well as the thalamus, primarily in the target condition. The qualitative compa
rison between the modalities revealed macroscopic spatial correspondence between the
topography of the P300 and the regions of BOLD activation. These findings reinforce the
complementarity between EEG and fMRI and suggest that, with technological advances
and a better understanding of the neural mechanisms involved in stimulus processing the
P300 may in the future establish itself as an accessible biomarker for the investigation of
cognitive processes.

Desenvolvimento de protótipo para diminuição do risco de morte súbita infantil

Title: Desenvolvimento de protótipo para diminuição do risco de morte súbita infantil
Abstract: This work presents the development of a functional prototype of a wearable system for
neonatal physiological monitoring in a home environment, focusing on the
demonstration of real-time data acquisition and transmission. The proposed solution is
based on photoplethysmography (PPG) to estimate peripheral oxygen saturation
(SpO₂) and heart rate (BPM). The hardware is composed of the ESP32 microcontroller
and the MAX30102 optical sensor, incorporating basic safety mechanisms such as
battery thermal monitoring and a hardware lock that prevents operation during the
charging process. The firmware implements signal acquisition and processing
routines, including strategies to reduce interference, such as detection of lack of
contact and possible motion artifacts. The collected data are transmitted via Bluetooth
Low Energy (BLE) to the mobile application "OxiNeonatal", which enables real-time
visualization, data storage, and alert management. The tests performed were
preliminary in nature, limited to functional validation of the system under controlled
conditions, without clinical trials or regulatory certification. The results demonstrate the
technical feasibility of the proposed architecture and the integration between hardware,
firmware, and software, indicating potential for future applications, subject to further
validation, regulatory compliance, and device improvement.
