The study also analyzes the city of Ribeirão Preto, covering its historical development, urbanization process, transportation matrix, and evaluating the current bus terminal, which is considered outdated, as well as the potential of the railway system in the region. Additionally, the text discusses sustainable development and its relationship with regional mobility, presenting Intermodal Terminals as an alternative for diversification and improvement of transportation in the country. To conclude, case studies and a proposal for the implementation of a new terminal in Ribeirão Preto are presented, proposing an integrated, efficient, and sustainable solution for the local transportation system. 2026-03-17T00:00:00Z
