Initially, conceptual surveys are conducted regarding the influence of the built environment on human behavior, environmental perception, and the intrinsic need for connection with nature, as advocated by biophilia. Subsequently, an analysis of reference architectural projects is developed through a design matrix, which supports the elaboration of a set of design guidelines —the main outcome of this study — comprising strategies and solutions applicable to architectural design. Finally, an experimental residential village project is presented to test the application of the defended concepts, considering different contexts of site implementation, spatial relationships, and typological variations. Considering the current separation between the figure of the architect as designer and construction practice - with the historical background that led to this reality being addressed in this research, a Space for Practice and Experimentation is proposed as an object that rescues the original conception of an architect close to the constructive act, favoring design reasoning aligned with practical reality.
