Title: Inclusão escolar: uma possibilidade ou uma utopia?
Abstract: We want to work with this address some ideas that were developed during
the search for monographs, and experience from the classroom, one of the goals reflect
on the conditions of social inclusion from, and within the classroom. Another concern
here relates to social representations, present in Brazilian society, or rather in the social
imaginary, of various forms of exclusion built and represented by stigmas and
stereotypes. An attempt to explain the many obstacles faced by socially excluded people
requires that it takes into consideration the cultural, especially with regard to the images
prejudiced, stereotypical, assimilated during the historical process by much of the
Brazilian population. Values impregnated, often unconsciously, in individuals, which
fuel prejudice and discrimination, and, as such, the social exclusion of many people. Talking is talking about inclusion, especially of interest in conducting, through
public policies, better structuring the network of public and private education, which
allows a quality of social and cultural life of all citizens, mainly because it is in school
that is as the citizen of tomorrow. And that calls to raise the following question: social
inclusion, a possibility or a utopia?
