Bladder carcinoma is one of the most frequent neoplasms affecting the urinary tract of dogs and cats, with a multifactorial etiology. Predisposing factors reported in the literature include exposure to toxic substances, antiparasitic baths, obesity, among others. When the bladder loses its functionality, surgical techniques are required to redirect urine to a new elimination route. In this context, procedures such as cystectomy associated with cutaneous ureterostomy have proven to be effective, with high therapeutic success rates. The case described involves a nine-year-old female dog with a history of dysuria, whose ultrasonographic examination revealed neoplastic infiltration and bilateral hydronephrosis. The patient underwent exploratory laparotomy, which revealed a bladder tumor, leading to total cystectomy and bilateral cutaneous ureterostomy. The excised tissue was sent for histopathological analysis, confirming the diagnosis of transitional cell carcinoma (TCC). Postoperative care included appropriate wound hygiene and administration of prescribed medications. Currently, the patient is in good clinical condition, demonstrating a positive response to treatment.
