Title: Memorial Descritivo Abstract: This memorial is submitted as part of the requirements for promotion from Associate Professor (Class C IV – Level 4) to Full Professor in the Career of Basic, Technical, and Technological Education at the School of Health Sciences (ESTES), Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU). The process is governed by MEC Ordinance No. 982 of October 3, 2013, and by Resolution No. 3/2017 of the University Council of UFU, dated June 9, 2017, which provides the official guidelines for memorial preparation. The period covered extends from 1997, the year I joined UFU at the School of Health Sciences, to 2011. This document presents a critical account of my academic trajectory, emphasizing contributions in teaching, research, extension, and academic management over 14 years of service at ESTES/UFU. It also outlines the development of my professional identity as a teacher and scholar, beginning with my early professional experiences and progressing through the main activities carried out in the aforementioned areas.
