    <summary type="text">Title: Análise do papel dos jogos e brincadeiras no desenvolvimento infantil no contexto da educação física escolar
Abstract: The present study aims to analyze the role of games and play in child development within the&#xD;
context of school Physical Education. The research, of an exploratory nature, was conducted&#xD;
through a bibliographic review with a qualitative approach. Five articles published between&#xD;
2020 and 2025 on the Google Scholar platform were selected, addressing games and play as&#xD;
central elements of the teaching and learning process. The analysis revealed that games and&#xD;
play, when intentionally and pedagogically planned, favor the child’s integral development,&#xD;
encompassing motor, cognitive, social, and emotional aspects. The texts analyzed highlight that&#xD;
play goes beyond mere entertainment, constituting an essential methodological resource for&#xD;
promoting meaningful learning, strengthening socialization, and contributing to the formation&#xD;
of identity and body culture of movement. It is concluded that school Physical Education should&#xD;
recognize and value the educational potential of games and play, incorporating playfulness as&#xD;
a pedagogical practice capable of integrating pleasure and knowledge, thereby expanding the&#xD;
possibilities for children’s development and learning.</summary>
