Title: Guerra da Ucrânia (2022-): Dilema da segurança ou neorrevisionismo russo? Abstract: This study aims to conduct a case study of the Ukraine War using the process-tracing methodology in order to evaluate and test two main hypotheses: the hypothesis that Russia displays a conservative nature in its actions during the Ukraine War, motivated by a security dilemma and grounded in John Mearsheimer’s structural realism theory; and the hypothesis that its actions are, in fact, driven by predatory motivations stemming from the revisionist policy adopted by Vladimir Putin. Through this approach, the study seeks to analyze how security dynamics, NATO expansion and Putin’s vision of Russia’s resurgence influenced his decisions. The research examines Russia’s political decisions and the reactions of other international actors, aiming to identify which theoretical framework better explains the phenomenon. By applying process-tracing, the study seeks to trace the sequence of events that led to the escalation of the conflict and to contribute to clarifying the motivations behind the war.

Title: Policiamento transnacional: uma revisão bibliográfica sobre a circulação de doutrinas de segurança dos Estados Unidos para o Brasil Abstract: This paper analyzes how the International Relations literature interprets the circulation of U.S. security doctrines and practices to Brazil, with a focus on transnational policing. The research adopts a literature review and organizes the analyzed works into two thematic axes: counterinsurgency during the Cold War and the "war on drugs", as well as their domestic effects on policing in Brazil. It argues that, despite differences in approach and scale, the literature converges in understanding this process as political and asymmetrical, rather than as a purely technical transfer devoid of political implications, and that it is also marked by police assistance, inter-agency cooperation, and the domestic incorporation of security models. It concludes that the field has been gaining ground within International Relations, but still presents gaps regarding the active role of Brazilian governments, elites, and police bureaucracies in negotiating and internalizing these doctrines, as well as regarding their internal effects.
